About 2 months ago, I decided to take another stab at my making my own wooden lures, did some more studying (RnD) :) and heres what I came up with, took about 2-3 days to complete w/ the amount of dry time needed for all the coats of paint & epoxy. May I present you, the "Wally Fiend" aka Wally Pop :P From what I remember, it was about 3.5 ounces when I weighed it last. I would've posted it on here sooner, but due to some design changes in testing I had to wait a little bit. It was originally designed as a topwater prop bait, but during testing I decided to take the props off due to the props not flowing correctly because of props I was using, in essense, the props weren't spinning correctly due to their shape, it was the best decision I've made, it now pops perfectly, you can even walk the dog a little with it. The paint pattern is a pickeral pattern, needed to use a LOT of yellow (about 3 coats) in order to get that golden-yellow type of look, with a bit of light masking of black, I held the template a little further away from lure while spraying black for the custom scale pattern to give it almost a authentic look, just like the real thing. Now I just gotta test it :)

David, yes I do, I make batches of custom inlines and also limited amounts of pike & bass spinnerbaits & bass jigs. I'll pm you my info if you or your buddy wants to get in touch. If its something for you, then I'll give you a (5% O.F.F. member discount) so you can save on larger purchases.

slimy, lolz, yeah I went there about a month ago with my buddy out of Caesarea, went cruising & did a little fishing. Still don't really know the lake well enough yet, forgot to print out that scugog hydrochart (to markoff points), next time I'll probably rent a boat when I'm out that way !
