I wouldnt hold your breath....I posted my first report in the first week of June and still havent been approved for anything....had a report, map through google and pictures. Ive sent out a PM to one of the mediators and was responded with "its awaiting approval from so and so...." I PM'd the guy whose supposed to approve it twice now and still no response. Ive been checking the site regularly and have had some good reads and some good talks with a few different guys but as far as the first report thing goes seems kind of unorganized in terms of management.

I've just checked, and it does appear that a back-log of reports has been building for the past few weeks. My apologies, as I was unaware of the situation. The moderators here volunteer their time, and with summer now upon us, I can understand how some of the new reports have slipped through the cracks, so to speak.

I have been working on upgrading OFF, and (among other things) a new system will be in place that will prevent this kind of backlog from occurring in the future.

In the mean time, I will personally review all reports today and tomorrow... so, if you have submitted a report during the last month, please check back tomorrow.

Your patience is much appreciated!

Hey not a problem, not trying to be a jerk about it. Was just disappointed with the progress of the reports being accepted because I was excited to read up on where everyone is fishing and to see some of the reports of others thats all. I think the site is great and appreciate all the guys putting in their time. Looking forward to being unlocked!

I understand why you want users to partake and make a post but how are we supposed to make one before we fish the zone? Going fishing on Georgian Bay tomorrow and want to know what's happening. If I fish I could certainly make a report.
Seems to me your subscription base would be larger if not for this restriction...

There are small ponds that are sensitive to mass-fishing pressure in the reports section. The idea of "the project" originally was for a small group of us to use google earth to locate smaller bodies of water like ponds in the GTA and determine which of them contain fish. Since there were hundreds of these ponds in the GTA alone, it only made sense to conduct the experiment as a collective of individuals and then share with each-other our results.

If you did not participate in the project, you were not given access to the results of those who did.

That is how this website came to be.

We discovered some really fantastic ponds right here in the GTA that 99.99999% of people have no idea contain fish like LM and SM bass. If we had posted these spots out in the open, they would have been destroyed.. sadly a few of them have already been damaged due to heavy fishing pressure which I suspect was due to word of mouth through some of the members here.

The website has changed quite a bit since then, and some changes are in the works that reflect the sentiment you described.

Welcome to OFF!
