Steelhead and Salmon forum rules

  • Specific Spots: Disclosing the presence of fish in a specific pool, upstream from the mouth of any river or tributary is not permitted in the publicly viewable general discussion forum. For example, you can say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on Wilmot Creek", but we do not encourage members to say "The fish are stacked up in the pool at the CNR bridge". The latter statement should be relegated to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 reports sections, away from public view.
  • Lining Debate: "Lining", "snagging" or "flossing" fish is a hot-button topic that often ruins otherwise productive conversations. In order to keep the general discussion forum clean, helpful and productive, it is the policy of OFF that any and all "lining" conversation/debate be conducted in the "Salmonid Insanity" sub-forum.
  • Forum Etiquette: Simple - Be polite, keep it civil. All personal attacks, insults, inflammatory remarks, threats, racist remarks, trolling and otherwise rude and/or immature behaviour are strictly forbidden and will be met with disciplinary action up to and including permanent banning.

Glad you had a nice time up at the Credit.
Nice to see such a positive attitude with the fishing slow.

Sounds like you learned some new things, got in a lot of practice, scouted out some future areas......
Hey, both Sat & Sun ... I skunked out on my Pike Pursuits.
Still enjoyed the chance to get out and give er a go.

Thanks for the report/Update.
Let us know if anything is happening down there in the Windsor Area.

Thank you for the update, that's a far drive.
I'm probably going to go in November when the reports start coming in.

Fish the credit today. High and fast. Fishable though just no fish. Well, except for the carp that kept rising for flies? Dont know.

Went to humber afterwards with not much luck. Funny thing happened though. I saw a red/white oldschool bobber float by me going upstream!

So I grabbed it and fish on! Someone must have hooked it down river n broke off a good 40 ft of line. Nice size chinny but didnt land it

shut up and fish : )

I was there on Sunday and did not catch a thing nor did I see anyone catch a single fish, so I would not feel bad.

It's all fun and games, until someone loses a fish!

Nice Pics.

I for the life of me cant remember the name of the location in pic#2 (Tip of my tongue)
Anyway ... I always call it the "JESUS SPOT".

Cause it make you look like your "Walking on Water".

At the HUMBER ... (old Mill Dam):

There are (3) large boulders out in the middle of the Pool.
You CAN NOT FISH THERE... but when I go out hunting for Lures, I always stand up on them.

Freaks the Tourists (Park enthuasists) right out.
Not too many people know about these "Formations" (Cept for the "Snaggers" who lose their spoons & lures)

Took this shot last year of a Guy.

Credit river is my favorite spot. . . that kinda water clearity does not bother me a bit. Fish can see pretty good in dirty water If the flie is by there face they will take it. I meticulously fish a hole good vertically and for distance. in dirty water i use black stone flies. . fly fishing. . or centre pin Hope this helps you
