The guy lost his tuna becuase he had caugth it by net, not rod and reel

-Depends on the Tuna, but they fetch a small fortune in most international cities, where decadence is king..

The recent new year tuna went for like a 500,000 price tag beating last years record sale - Japanese eat like 80% of the world sushi and a business man paid that much to help the economy after the major disaster this past year in Japan. So this fish would have brought huge profits to this boat but now just fines will be levied and if you ask me the cash from the sale and fine should go towards restocking or the like.
