Hi I'am kinda wondering what size floats you folks use ? maybe 8g size

2g for slow flows.

3-4g for faster flows

8-11G for bigger water.

yup that sounds about right. Recently i been using Drennan piker floats 6g. I get a bit more casting distance since i can add more weight on them.

I like to use the Drennan loafer floats, 2 swan for slow water, 4 for medium and 6-8 swan for fast.

It's all fun and games, until someone loses a fish!

The Drennan floats are 3-4 dollars.

any local tackle store carries them. Or u can order from http://www.fishheadscanada.net awesome guy hes stuff arrives very fast.

If your going to buy the Drennan floats, make sure you buy the rubber tubes to attach them to the line. They do not come with the float. I am actually surprised, some tackle stores do not have them, so call around.

It's all fun and games, until someone loses a fish!

if you are only gonna use loafers i would suggest finding an alternative to drennan float caps as they seem to have a tendency towards splitting.....blackbird phantom is ok too and come with very durable caps, allthough they dont ride as nice a the loafer does.

float goes down......rod goes up!!!
