I recently updated to a new version of Firefox and now it takes ages for me to access OFF. Is anyone else having problems or is it just me? The site is very slow now also.
I also scanned my computer for malware and viruses. Nothing.
Any input would be great.

Alfie.

It isn't Firefox causing the problem. I use Google Chrome and I'm having the same difficulties that you are having. It is a problem with the OFF server, so there isn't anything you can do until they decide to fix it.

Ok. Thanks guys. I'm glad it's not just me. I hate when I have computer problems cause they take me days to fix, sometimes weeks. I'm not all that tech savvy.

Alfie it's most likely the server and not your browser. You might want to clean your hard drive of all cookies and defrag it. Browsing history will slow down a pc. Google how to speed up your version of firefox. I use one for IE8 and it works.

Good luck.

Sometimes all those add ons that you put on firefox can slow it down, so see if you can delete any of that stuff. There area some freeware products out there that will scan your machine and help delete all the broken links and software that you do not use any more.

It's all fun and games, until someone loses a fish!

Thanks but I already did a complete spy and malware scan with Adaware, a complete virus scan with Avg and then a complete PC analysis with AVG system analyzer a day or 2 ago and the OFF site is still slow to load. A sports forum that I am a member of is also slow, but everything else seems fine.
The analyzer removed almost 3,000 things from my PC.

I'm ROTFL right now. I have to agree with you Luke about this forum and good things coming to those who wait, we are after all fishermen, and you cannot be a good angler without a certain amount of patience. I never had a computer until 5 years ago when my brother in law gave me one of his old computers for Christmas.
He said, " It works, it just might be a bit slow."
I said, " I never had a computer before, how would I know if it was a bit slow if you hadn't just told me."
The next year everyone in my family pitched in and they bought me the computer I have right now, it was brand new. After learning much by myself, as I had no real help learning about it. ( I don't see my family as much as I'd like, they don't live near me and I work all over the province.) I was happy, frustrated at times, but happy.
Now, go figger here I am asking why my computer seems slow. LMAO.

Alfie.
