Hey Chris.... Happy New Years!
I just use RUBBER BANDS.
Find them the easiest, cheapest and it only takes 2 secs to tie one.
If you just tie a "Granny Knot" with a piece, its easy to move up and down.
Sometimes they may "Slip" up or down a couple inches ... but only takes a sec to re-adjust.
You can get a pack of Multi Size Rubber Bands at the dollar store for a dollar. ($1)
Last you a LIFETIME!
and then you also have all kinds of extra rubber bands to use else where.
Pick up the Garbage & Follow the RegulationsCommon Sense and Courtesy still works..

If you are using a slip sinker with a long leader the line style with the bead is best because it will be able to cast through the eyes. This way you can have 13ft below your float if needed while reeling in your line to only 3 or 4ft for casting. I go for the ones with the thinnest line for the best casting ability. If the amount below your float is less than the length of your rod than a fixed float would make more sense.
too lazy for the ACC
