Ok so I am an avid bowhunter as well as an avid fisherman. One of the things that I do to my arrows is wrap them with a custom sticker to personalize them. The company I deal with in the wrap side is looking at making custom fishing rod wraps. You may not know what I am talking about but here is a photo of my arrow wraps. This is a custom company, I gave them an idea and they emailed mea few apictures of their interpretation of that idea. Then, after several e-mails they came up with what I wanted. Does anyone think they would be interested in such a product? It could be as simple as a tackle box sticker to show everyone what forum you are on, boat stickers, the possabilities are endless. Any feedback is appreciated.

I know my recommendations for certain fishing applications will be glow and/ or reflective. I know they do reflective for sure. This is a custom shop. Pretty much what you want is what you get. I am just looking for feedback. Any is appreciated

Looks cool on yur bows, but not sure about putting it on a three hundred dollar rod. (For most) But my main concern would be prices. I would like to see more though.

Here's a sticker worth putting on a rod.

I have about $1500 in my bow  Its just a what I use to personalize my arrows along with making them more visible so they are easier to find. It also helps read sign on the arrow shaft after it passes through an animal. I was thinking that some anglers may want the name of there favorite forum along with your user name that way if you lose your rod and someone finds it they can return it. There still is a few good folks out there. The measuring tool is a good idea as well. I also thought of a strip or 2 near the rod tip for night fishing, either reflective or glow.

I have a conference call with the company owner on monday. If anyone has any ideas I would be willing to bring them up. We hope to get a few things worked out then we will come up with a design and put them on a rod for others to see. I might have the first rod wraps in the world

And Joel52, these are custom designs. You can whatever you want. If you would like a picture of your wife or child that could be accomodated. Perhaps a picture of you and your biggest fish or maybe just your favorite species of fish. For you steelhead guys you may want a steelhead with a fishes body and a robot lokking head, the possabilities are endless. I f you could get wahatever you wanted on a wrap or decal in glow or reflective or whatever you wanted, what would you expect to pay?

Completely wrap a rod. I wonder about this - the rod is very flexible, and the vinyl wrap will want to crease - buckle - pucker - stretch and eventually peel. Then you have a mess to clean up. Vinyl has a little give, but to stick the adhesive needs to be aggressive. I think there's also opportunity to compromise the integrity of the rod - not by making it weaker, but by making the areas that are wrapped stronger, creating unbalanced weak spots. I agree with a previous comment, looks cool but not on my rod.

I wouldn't completely wrap my rod as I would agree with you. It would decrease the rods ability to flex. That is also the reason why I would only do a few thin strips at the rod tip. We will see what transpires in the conference call. I will let you all know. Also if This company does go through with this business plan I will have the first set and show you all what they look like. I plan on doing some for my catfish rods.
