Hi All,

First time poster, long time reader. Just wondering if anyone could please PM me a good place to find nice firm, healthy suckers? Looking to actually eat them, they are pretty good eating once you get the bones out.

Thx for the help,

Dave

Not a lick of help? Trying to find something but if nothing is running just post so. With all this ice and snow I can understand why things are poor this year for sure but suckers are pretty stable for running times.

Thx for everyone's help

We would have to be a bunch of suckers, wouldn't we, to give out a spot to a first time poster, who said he's planning to keep his catch?

Haha I am just kidding Dave. Sorry I can't be of much help, I have never targeted them, I've only caught the odd incidental one.

Since suckers will be located in prime steelhead waters right now, people may be very hesitant to discuss which tribs are producing. It's actually against forum policy to name steelhead locations.

Not to mention the real suckers who "fish for suckers" in prime steelhead location...using roe & beads...

States. It's cold here still, but down there every river seems to be full of them.

Every river is full of them here too, just gotta look in the right spots, I can't keep them off for long enough to get a decent drift, no need to drive to the states for these smelly roe thief's!

the red horse suckers are surprisingly tasty from a large g-bay trib but not the white ones and they all taste like crap in the GTA LOL
