Drift over their heads, like 6". They will rise up and smash it. You'll see the headshakes before you realize it ate.

nothing beats a small pool stacked with 2 dozen kings and casting and retreiving for those dorsal fins. Am I right fellas?!?!

 

just kidding, thats not me.

Noobie question.. it's been a long day. 

 

If you're chucking spoons, then nothing complicated there.. tied it on and throw it out. 

 

But if i'm casting a muddler or WB or whatever else under a float you're adding weight to it. So does it go.. 

 

main line -> float -> 3 way split -> one going to weight, other is tied to the muddler?

you can rig using a 3 way, but most prefer to drift right on the bottom so just use mainline>float>shot>swivel>leader>small splitshot>fly
