I've been fishing in a river when hours later two old guys showed up and told me to GTFO because that was their spot. When I refused they started throwing rocks in the water all around me . I just laughed but really some people's sense of entitlement is unbelievable

Reading some of these story's are just funny. They honestly need to make classes to obtain a fishing license, just like hunting, spend a weekend in a classroom learning laws, how to handle fish, limits etc. The riffraff will surely fade away. And the people who love it will have no issue spending a weekend in a classroom to learn. All the excuses will fade away.

Reading these stories, holy crap. This is why I bought my fishing kayak. To get to the spots people don't normally get to.

Throwing rocks at or around people can end up in legal actions. All you need was a video and to feel you are threatened you have been able to persue at very least assult charges.

Again- if one of those rocks hit you, would it have been worth it?

If I had felt threatened I would have done something other then laugh.

I seriously doubt that a few hours in a class room is going to change anyone's personality. Greedy, ugly, nasty selfish people who use violence and threats of violence to enforce their mistaken beliefs that they own public waters, public parks and public land will continue to do so.

Hate hearing these types of stories. Safety above all but there does come a point where you need to stand up for/defend yourself. Hopefully this guy gets caught, has his license revoked, gets a record and it impacts him to the point where he never fishes again or at least fishes with some sort of respect.

What a loser fishing is supposed to be calming. But personally I would have thrown him in the river.

That's just it, you can't just take matters into your own hands, you can end up in more trouble than the other person, if you get physically harmed you defend yourself and call the authorities, you can't just shove people in the water, as much as i want to sometimes lol there's a fine line between doing whats right and wrong
