its a good idea but theres too many ways around it.
look at all the guys now with just high enough post counts. yet ive never seen any contributions from them... they dont even bother to add an avatar.
yes they just say hih to every welcome post and they have enough post count to view all the private crap..
theres gotta be something else that can be done?

Verified accounts? Have another member that has one vouch for you.

requiring a couple of members in good standing to vouch you into the loop might be cool

Ok that sounds kinda creepy so fyi it's a motorcycle forum where we talk about good riding roads. When I used to have a motorcycle... And not 2 kids... And a life.... Lmao.
And then it kinda pushes people to meet with some of the forum members and be a contributing vessel... Not just a leach for info (or lurker like myself lol) hence why I signed up.
Carry on mates

IMO make the fishing reports, meetups and steelhead/salmon unavailable to post counts less than 100. Hopefully a mod or admin can chime in.
The problem with that is I can just basically spam post a bunch of "nice fish" or "I went fishing at an east trib tonight" and boost my posts to over 100 no problem.
Just my .02
Oh btw I went fishing to an east trib and my sister pulled out a 22lb hen spewing roe. Then I hooked up with something and the bugger straightened my hook.... Wtf!!!
There's my first one...99 more I went fishing stories [emoji1]

Making that many posts takes some effort. I think it'll probably deter most lurkers.
