Got out again this weekend for some steelheading. A couple nice G Bay fish were landed this time around. Enjoy and watch in HD.

I enjoyed the first one you posted, and I'm sure the second one should be as nice as the first one, but I could not watch it. When I click on the link, it says that it has been removed.

which gram float do you cast with your bait caster. i want to start fishing with a bait caster but i am not sure if my reel can cast a 5g or less.

I fish a 10.5g float. I find I can cast just fine with smaller floats but the line just comes off the reel alot better with a heavier setup. I beef everything else up with a baitcasting outfit too. I can also recommend not using braid unless you are going to run a very long shock leader, but that defeats the purpose of even using the braid.

Ya, fishing those kind of areas is definitely very rewarding when you find some fish. Makes it hard to fish the eastern creeks after a few trips up to Georgian Bay, even harder when coming back from Superior!

i fish ditches, not sure 10g will be best choice. unless i feather it, not sure if i can cast really well with 5g and live bait specially., as i am sure it might fly off the hook lol

It is tough with a big float at times when the water is low and clear. For the most part fish aren't very spooked by the float though.
