I'm posting this on as many sites as possible to try to get some new blood into the Club.

I would totally be into helping out if I weren't currently living in barrie. It's a bit of a drive for me although I do visit my gf parents in Port Elgin quite often.

I have to ask though, why spend all your time stocking salmon, rainbows and browns, instead of stocking and improving our native brook trout fisheries?

Sure they're stocked in some areas by the government, but brook trout fishing and the streams they live in has declined drastically even in the short amount of time I've been drawn to fish for them.

I often wonder if some of the streams I fish didn't have stocked Browns in them, would the brookies not be restricted to the head water trickles theyre currently living in, and instead grow large like the Browns or rainbows found down stream?

It's all about the Licence, each club can only raise & release what the MNRF/MOE will give you a licence for, most of the club guys fish the lake, I haven't fish for Trout or Salmon in 2 years, love my Bass but raise Salmon in Schools to get the youth involved.
