Hello,
Planning to get Raven Matrix TM float reel.
Does anyone have experience with this reel? Or should I go with Matrix Special edition ?

From my understanding the only difference between Matrix and Matrix Special Edition are the size and porting. I would go with the special edition if I were you, for the bigger spool. See if you can but them both on your rod and pick whichever feels best.

Unfortunately they are sold out at the price that I was looking for.

The SE, LE, and FP matrix reel line all spin a step up from the original 4 3/8th reel. Raven doesn't declare bearing specs on these reels, so cannot confirm as to if they are upgraded or not. I'm not just saying this, you will be much happier with a SE, LE, or FP matrix reel.
