My first opener too - bit late to the party but been busy working and fishing when I can get a free minute.
3 were mine - 2 my buddies and we let quite a few bigger ones go.

Well I was fishing from a canoe but after some exploring and testing deeper waters with no luck we were catching them in shallow water casting distance from shore anyway. I was up in FMZ 15

I started making my own jigs with a Do-It Mold, it's pretty satisfying catching fish with stuff you make! I remember the first fish I caught with the first fly I tied too.

Here's an eater from today after work. I release 95% of the fish I catch as I would like to keep the population healthy/increasing. Not that I would put a dent in them but they are finally on the comeback in the river I fish after years of poor numbers.
