I wanted to check out this local river that is five minutes drive from my house. As I stepped on the rocks to see what's up, there was this line. Thinking I found someone's lure, I was wrong, but quickly saw this small guy tied up on it. As I always have a swiss knife on me, I cut the line and let him go back in the water. Someone wanted to save him for an other day to use it as a live bait? Not so nice.....

 

 

I messed around a bit, caught a few these small guys and put them back in. Not a bad day.

Sure hope it wasn't on purpose. Good for you for taking the time!

 

I worry about all the line I see tying things up, even in remote streams. I read last year that it's thought it'll take 600 years for all that lost mono & other plastic line to break down once it gets into water.
