I am heading up to Belmont Lake at the end of April for a golfing trip with a few buddies. Unfortunately most of the desirable species there are still going to be closed but I was wondering if the lake has a decent perch population that would be worth targeting? As usual I am the only angler in the group so perch fishing would actually be a good option.

I used to be an avid golfer before fishing took over, we are playing Kawartha's Country Club on the Saturday which is a Stanley Thompson design and pretty highly rated in Canada so I am looking forward to it. I was excited about the fishing prospects when we planned the trip and I wasn't thinking about open seasons, now that we are getting close I realized that everything is closed! lol
