Hi everyone I just moved to Dorchester on Mill Pond from Stoney Point (off lake St Clair). Avid fisherperson and love to have fish fries. Is there a big fishing community in the area? I'm contemplating purchasing a kayak to paddle around the pond and down the Thames, is it worth it to find the better fishing places?I am also looking to see if anyone knows if the pond or the Thames around Dorchester yields any perch, eyes, pike or trout or is the fishing in the area just catch a release bass and panfish?

Thanks!

The pond has pike and pan fish. There are many local fishing groups on Facebook you should consider joining . Forest city Anglers and London Ontario anglers are 2 examples.
