Going to school in Chatham Right now and can see the Thames from my apartment window. I have heard that there are walleye in there at some point during the year but am not too sure about what resident fish live in the river. A lot of the people I go to school with say that the river is too silty or to deep to fish. I am praying to the forum gods that there is someone on here that can help me.

Tight lines

Tim.

Lots of walleye especially winter and spring big hogs from the lake come to spawn. I've see musky caught. there is even a bit of a trout run very few and far between but with the stocking up river hopefully will continue to get better

Tried fishing today with just some curly tail grubs to see what was biting. I got something but got caught in some structure. Looking at my leader I'm thinking it was something toothy. Will report later if I get anything.

You'll get a mixed bag of fish which is partially what makes the Thames such a cool river system. Just get out there and fish!

Any recommendations for bait or lures? I tried a 2 different wally divers, some different curly tails and a wacky rigged senko no luck other than little guys.

If you go to the wharf at Mitchell's bay at night you'll do well. Always get big fish. Even some big bowfins.
