Lake Simcoe Ice Fishing at Lefroy, Ontario

It’s that time of year again. This is when we dust off our ice fishing gear and brave the winter elements in search of trophy fish, or maybe a couple dozen perch. Whatever the size or quantity of fish we catch, at this time of year we’re happy to be fishing even if we get skunked – not that that would ever happen, of course.
Ice fishing is what enables us to enjoy our favourite pastime year round. And this year, I plan on making it out to Lefroy, Ontario for some Lake Simcoe ice fishing action. Why Lefroy you may ask? Well, last year one of our members made that same trip and reported to us in our forum that he had a great ice fishing trip.
We’re now getting our first ice fishing reports of the year, and once again our members are reporting that Lake Simcoe is producing. Not that we had any doubt. Whitefish and Laketrout are being marked in deeper water…
