So due to popular demand of another get together we will do another one this time for Bass and Pike.

Date: June 28th 2014

Time: 8:00am - Dusk

Location:
http://goo.gl/maps/Iyq0d

Location has been changed due to the lower water levels on the grand. So we will hit the Nith. It's not far at all from the 401 and from the other location. Lots of great fishing to be had on this river.

Chris from Yetifish will be bringing Bass files for sale, 20 bones for 6 flies.

I think the norm is about a 6wt. Even with that, I've had a 5-6lb largie kick my ass on my 6wt haha

Ok but I'm not going to go buy a 6wt so will my 4wt do the trick?

You will be throwing bigger flies not sure if a 4wt will do the job. Just go buy a cheapie 7-8wt.

Do cheap fly setups work well for beginners? What is cheap for an outfit?

Yea, this is true actually. I forgot about the flies you'll be casting. If you're inexperienced, you may find trying to cast the bigger flies on a 4wt frustrating.

Lol I don't think it would be possible to cast bigger flies on a 4wt especially if your inexperienced. As I said you don't have to use a fly rod the entire day. I probably won't be.
