Hey guys, I'm new to this forum thing i just got a quick question. i was doing some research for the walleye fishing in the peterborough and kawarthas area (zone17) and on the site i was at the regulations said the 2nd saturday in may (tomorrow) but another site and a friend of mine told me it was instead may 18 i just wanted to know the actual dates just to clear things up..THANKS GUYS!!

Hey Robert,
I would say your best bet is to just follow the guidelines on the MNR website. Looks like for zone 17 it's the same as me in zone 18 - 2nd Sat. in May. If you're hesitant, heck, print the page off and bring it with you
Good luck with them 'eyes! I'll be trying to catch my first on a fly!

time to catch some walleye, watch for exceptions involving fishing in fast water kawarthas used to be 3rd sat for fishing around locks

Rice Lake was pretty good today. Fish were relatively shallow and the bite was on.

Thanks guys! I went out early in the morning and got my limit in an hour! also got myself a nice muskie had a big pickerel on but lost it. trying again tonight

nice we got lots o little guys on powerminos and a bonus 5 lb channel. they were bitting very light with coldfront but the yellow wire always holds them

yup crappie.... my father-in-law loves them.... Going to the Bay of Quinte at 5am tomorrow to try to land some good walleye.
