Heading up to the French River for the first time in a few weeks for some walleye action. I've never actually targeted walleyes with success before so I'm not exactly sure what to use. All the walleyes I've ever caught were while targeting perch/bass.

Any tips on equipment, techniques, and lures? I'm thinking of bringing my 6' ML stcroix. Any tips will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you are just using a ML rod just toss on a nice jig head and either use mini swammers OR use the classic live bait. Can never go wrong with a ML with a jig and a worm or minnow or even leech

Would you guys suggest Mono, fluoro, or braid line for walleyes?
