This sounds awesome!
However what FF has described sounds great too.... I'll be honest, I read "And afterwards there's pubs in Elora and Fergus to have a pint and tell fish stories afterwards" and was sold....
Haha yeah Rum and coke please..

I still say the grand is the best bet, the trick is spreading ourselves out, can't get 30 people casting on one creek.

Ok, let's get going with this. I propose May 31st as the day, our choices for rivers that can hold all of us and won't be too high are the Grand and the lower Credit, so lets take a vote on location now. Just remember that by the date most of the fish in the credit will be gone.

just from going through the posts, we have i think 5-7 yes, and another 5-6 maybe, so realistically, we'd be looking at around 7-8 people going for sure
also, i can't do saturdays, only sundays

Well basically most of the steel will be out and back to the lakes by the end of this month. So we gotta hit resident trout somewhere. I vote Grand. As for the date anytime is good for me since im not working.

Another possibility I was discussing with another member is having two get togethers, one on the west side and then another out in the Whitby area, I suppose we could try to line that up for a Sunday.

As I said, May isn't great for me - Nova Scotia next weekend, and then I'll be running a marathon on the weekend of the 31st when I get back.
Hopefully it works well for those that go, and sorry that I'll miss it!

Ok, how does June 7th sound then?
Posted 09 May 2014 - 10:58 AM
June 7th is perfect.
Yesterday i get a random text from my wife that says "hey, i've made plans with a girlfriend on June 7th. Enjoy fishing!" So there's that lol.
my second vote goes to the Grand. Trout there are fun to fish.

I had suggested that the second GTG would be planned for a Sunday...

glad to see the ball rolling.
we just gotta make the date concrete and show up now.
unless its gonna kill attendance i think a sunday end of may or begin of june will be fine.
once the date is set in stone and we have a place it will make a definite head count possible instead of right now where we have to guess between 5-12 heads(big difference depending on waters)
thanks for taking initiative everyone, we almost got something here lol.. finaly
also if thew count is low enough we could even pair up more experienced guys with newbies for the after fish. just a thought. kinda like how they do in tournies.
keepit rolling fellas
