I had an hour to kill before I had to pick up my girlfriend, so I decided to swing by one of the ponds for a few casts to target crappies.
Well, after a few casts I hooked into this guy... It looks like the LM Bass in that pond might be bigger this summer.
BTW, I wasn't using a Gulp minnow, I was using a crappie lure... I just use that Gulp package for perspective as you all know.
What do you guys think, bigger than last summer's bass?

hmm.. depends on the pond.. if its that one where you caught the crappie last time, then its probably the biggest that has come out of there.
i think some of the other ponds had bass around that size.

It does look bigger.
How did the belly look?
Because as you all know most bass, atleast most of the bass i've caught were... well... empty stomach alike if you know what i mean.
Hope all the basss eat well this year
Go back and check out my topwater bass pictures. they are in hunger!

That fish had a nice girth to it... didn't look hungry at all.
We'll know more in 2 weeks when bass season opens.
