Hello everyone! I'm kinda new to fishing and I'm like super hooked! I study every single thing about fishing but the only problem is having the time and transportation to get to these fishing locations. I live in Toronto and the only place that seems promising to me is the Toronto Islands.

The only time when I go fishing is with my brother who could drive, and all I am limited to is busing. What pisses me off is seeing people catch and take fish home. I am really concerned for the environment and I plan on bringing my kids fishing in the future if theres any fish left for the next generation.

Anyways, can anyone tell me any good locations in Toronto or the GTA..just like 10-30 minutes away. For the past month, I've been to Rice lake four times and I think it's completely fished out from shore.

Hi Anatz, welcome to the board! There are a number of locations to fish in and around Toronto, some that may be a lot more productive than you might think. Depending on where you live, some might even be right in your neighborhood.

If you haven't read it yet, please take a look at the following forum posting by Openfire... it explains how you can gain access to a bunch of fishing reports (with locations!) in and around Toronto. All you really have to do is try fishing at one of the locations shown in our Maps section, write up a short fishing report about it (with pics, please), and send a PM to me or Openfire.

Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this forum whether you choose to participate in the project or not.
