SO I decided to head out to Bluffers last night. Got out there around 6. Threw some spoons at some points around the arena. Water was really choppy and then the storm moved in so I was only able to fish for about an hour before the skies opened up.
Will try again tomorrow night for a bit see if I can get anything.

Ended up going out again tonight. Nothing to report. On a positive note I think I've found where the pike hit as a couple of guys there had caught two earlier in the day. I was losing the light so the bite wasn't on and I think it's too early for brown trout to be coming in.

i went to check out the conditions there after school today at around 8-8:30

i checked the boat launch area and also the little bridge, but didn't see any fish at all. There was no one at the little bridge and lots of people at the launch area though. i don't think they were targetting the big ones though.

i'm thinking it's still very early for this area, no?

The guys at the launch area were the guys catching pike. It is early but I was dying to get out and it's a 5 minute drive from my house.

the places marked in red are where everyone fishes,
but what about the other places in orange? are they fishable areas?

when i checked the boat launch area, it was very weedy.. good for pike, but i don't see trout/salmon being in there. maybe when the weeds die off.

I believe the guys were saying that the salmon were at the mouth of the yacht club. That's where I was trying. Kind of rocky, lost 2 lures.

They were shooting a movie there tonight so a lot of places were blocked off.

Yup it's the mouth in orange. You have to park by the east beach and walk over. I was fishing on the east side. I saw quite a few people on the west side fishing for pike. They walked over as well.
