You have a good point there.
I'm just worried about the lower speeds being too fast...for trolling and sneaking around i mean. especially on a light weight boat.
i want as much control as i can to fish over spots precisely...
i will get a drift sock as well.

edwin...remember to post in southeast section!

i'm not going to worry about an anchor at the moment as most of the fishing done would be drifting around and using the trolling motor and drift sock to slowly go over fishable areas.
there are so many ways to make an anchor, i wouldn't buy one... at least not now.

The only time I imagine not using an anchor is when fishing for LMB or trolling..But hey, I have next to 0 experience in fishing from a boat..
And anthony, you going to give your canoe a name? 8)

Buckhorn was alright...
probably landed close to 50. I ended up bringing 18 home. 8-11 inches... size wasn't really there, but quantity sure was! My largest was just a bit over 11.
My friend got 3 in 3 casts that were 11.5 inches...biggest of the outing. This was when the school was REALLY in.

I had a big smallmouth on that eventually snapped my 4lb line on one of it's crazy leaps...wsa probably 3-4 lbs... FAT.

nice job anthony!
Were the Buckhorn crappie thin or were they fat? Mine are awfully skinny, but they did taste pretty good steamed today 8)

Some were fat... majority of them were normal... didn't seem too skinny. at least i didn't notice them being really thin.
