Hey Live in London and I have found London to be pretty good. If you want some good bass and crappie go get a inflatable boat and head on over to Pond mills. In the river you can fish just about any place and you will find fish, from carp to spotted gar. I have caught over 100 fish this year.

Springbank park is good for alot of bass and sometimes some walleye. The forks of the thames (where the big fountain is) is also a great spot for carp, catfish, walleye, bass, gar pike, everything.

I don't personally fish for them but I've only ever seen them caught around sunset and after dark so about 9pm and after.

Agreed, Ive caught about 10-15 cat fish in my life(never fishing for them) and all have been between 9-12 at night. Couple on worms and minnows and a couple casting spoons. All were accidently caught while fishing for walleye or pike.

There are all kinds of catfish in the Thames and they can be caught anytime during the day. I would suggest that you go to a grocery store and buy a package of chicken livers to use as bait. Find a nice slow deep run thread your chicken liver onto your hook, cast out and wait for a cat to take your offering. I usually don't fish for catfish at this time of year, but I have had great success from May to August fishing the Thames.

Ive been fishing in the west end of the thames.....around Springbank park. Ive caught a 28 inch pike, about 10 walleye......1 big one if I can figure out how to post the vids.......alot of smallmouth, some silver bass, a bunch of 2 foot long catfish and a slew of Carp....also the odd sheephead. Gonna try and post the vidz and pics.

Goodluck man!

I fish in and around London all the time. I do well on the Thames - whether it be downtown behind Labatts, Greenway park on Springbank, Gibbons Park, or way up around the Rebecca Rd area. (real shallow up there but have pulled out good smallies and a nice little 'eye on topwaters).

I haven't done much fishing in the further west part of town - I hear Springbank park holds some huge carp (not really my fave target), and I've heard that people do well out just off of oxford street, west of hyde park.

We've had some crazy catches too - Big carp - the occasional pike, and a couple of +12 lbs cats all came out of Greenway. There's lots of fun to be had around here.

Looking to head out with the fiance this Saturday... we usually hit under the bridge on the Thames near Kilworth. I may try Springbank or Delaware again. Any other suggestion? (can drive but would like ot try and keep it local) i was in Burwell for Thanksgiving and the water was epic rough so i didnt even bother there. Thanks in advance guys :)

Also bumped into this small fishing store on Wellington near Horton (Riverside Fishing Store) or something like that. Cheap gear for the tackle box. Although i"m a rookie i figured i would toss a shout out to the store...Cheers guys!
