HEY EVERYONE,
So im fairly new to the fishing world, and these forums, so I'm not quite sure if this is the correct place to post this, or if I can find what im looking for somewhere else, but I couldn't find it on my own so let me ask: Where are some places that i can go fishing in the Mississauga area (willing to travel about 1 hour any direction) that i will for sure have some luck.
Please send me some lake names, street names, or even Google maps co-ordinates or w.e you think will help me.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Also if this is the incorrect forum, please send me in the right direction,
Thanks in advance!

In the whole Peel region (which includes both Brampton and Mississauga) I can think of a few places:

Heart Lake Conservation Area (Brampton off of Heart Lake Rd. north of Sandalwood). Lots of panfish here. If you're lucky enough you can get a largemouth or a bullhead. However, this is a conservation area so you have to pay an entrance and fishing fee to fish there.

Professor's Lake (Brampton near Bovaird and Bramelea Rd.). This is a public lake (you only have to pay if you're gonna use the beach) with lots of shoreline to fish. There is also free parking near the beach entrance. Tons of carp (if you're into that). Lots of panfish like sunfish and rock bass. You can also land some crappie and largemouth (I heard pike too).

Lake Aquitaine (North-west area of Mississauga). Lots of panfish and bullheads. Just don't take home the fish from here and eat it (it's like a drainage lake for urban runoff).

Port Credit Harbour (Mississauga on Lakeshore Rd.). You'll see a lighthouse here and a large parking lot. You can only fish on the north side of Lakeshore Rd. though. I heard you can catch anything from carp to brown trout here. I wouldn't recommend taking any fish you catch here though.

However, if you're willing to travel one hour outside of the Peel region, here are some places you can check out:

Kelso Lake (just west of Milton off the 401).

Fairy Lake (Acton)

Mountsberg Reservoir (between Cambridge and Milton off the 401)

Guelph Lake (near Guelph)

All the places above, except Fairy Lake, you need to pay a conservation entrance fee (usually $5 per adult). They also have assorted amounts of fish - from panfish to pike. You can type these places in Google Map and you'll have no problems locating them. Good luck!
