i knew it wasnt a brown i saw gutted it was an atalantic for the eggs.

these fish are amezing so much color on them. i wanted to look at it forever just beautiful fish. took a quick photo and let it go.

You mean dead, as in died of natural/environmental causes, or killed by anglers(poachers)?

Looks like natural.

found a spot with lots of dead salmon at the bottom. picked up one to see if it had any eggs but they where all spawned out

Looks like natural.


If you're seeing lots of dead atlantics at Bronte, I would give the OMNR a call and let them know about it. This could indicate a problem that needs further study.

I was just kind of curious to see how forked the tail was, compared to the squared-off tails of browns. Some of these fish look very similar to browns, just looking at the markings on the bodies.

its not like a a million of them

it was like three or four i saw and a whole bunch of other dead ones coho and chinooks but i think it was because of all the construction gong on.

The second fish look almost like a brown from that angle.

they look similar but if u were there with mw u woud seen what i seen. to bad i coudnt get the pic if the tail i tried to keep fish as much as i coud in the water and let it go fast.

You did the right thing. If you get an Atlantic, a quick pic and release ASAP.
