Temps are warming up, supposed to be 7C with lots of rain by Friday/Saturday in Peterborough. Watch yourself, could be slushy in some places.
Poked around - Simcoe has a few spots where you can venture out if you're a diehard, but that could change with the weather warming up. Rideau canal in Ottawa isn't safe yet, Scugog's south and in between the two so I'd give it a couple more weeks. At least until after the front moves through anyway. Probably mid January?

Joel is right...even some of the smaller lakes 1 hour north of barrie are getting slushy already...tread carefully
They are calling for 6 degrees tomorrow, 9 degrees on friday and 6 again on sat/sunday...could get sketchy in areas for sure!
