Hi, i was just wondering if anyone had any free ice shanty plans that they could send to me and if u could it would be greatly appreciated thanks in advanced, Darrin

its a homemade portable ice hut
its called a shanty and i need some plans lol but i was trying to see if anyone would send me the plans for free because u have to pay for them online.

that makes alot more sense. I would like to build a small cheap portable shelter just to block the wind. The first plan posted by efka seems like it might be lightweight, if you make one let us know how much the materials cost you.

You could probably buy a cheap one at Bass Pro and be good to go. It would likely be the same price as the materials.

I found some plans last year by searching for "ice hut plans". I never built one, but the best shelter was made from a single piece of 1/2" plywood, cut into three sections (base and two ends) with a plastic tarp stapled over it. It basically folding into itself and was very portable. If you are handy, you could see how it could be improved on to make it more liveable. I'm sure you can still find it.
