Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've always been searching for any fishing information and I really appreciate all the info that people share here. I've been fishing since I was 4 but am always learning new things. I've always been a shore fisherman but, 2 years ago I got my first boat and this year I really am getting into ice fishing which makes for a much more exciting time out on the water. During the week in the summer I fish a lot at Frenchman's Bay, just to kill some time and get some action in, but on weekends I'm usually up in cottage country fishing for everything and anything that bites.

I have also started my own fishing blog/website to help beginning anglers and map out a few places that I like to fish: www.fishingwithpiotr.com

I look forward to share any info I can and to learn a lot from my fellow anglers.

Thanks,
Piotr

Hello Piotre. Catch here, from Catch 22 Fishing Adventures. Just want to welcome you as a fellow new member myself and a neighbourhood angler as well. I've been fishing for a long time my self and you'll be glad to find out that there is some great ice fishing available on frenchman's bay as well. I am a professional fishing guide and outfitter currently operating on just that very same body of water. You may want to check it out I think you will be very surprised with what you see being pulled out of there during the hard water season. Hope to learn a lot while I'm here and meet lots of great people too, isn't that what fishing is all about?

Tightlines,

Catch

Hey Blair and Catch,

Thanks for the welcome! I've already seen how friendly and informative people can be from some of my other posts.

Catch, do you have a website for your guiding service? I'd love to check it out. As for Frenchman's, I went out there for for an hour or so just to kill some time. Never really gave it a chance, just wanted to get out of the house, but maybe on the weekend I'll head out there with my hut and stay for a few hours. I've got a bunch of ice spoons, jigs, and some lures, any suggestions on what's best for Frenchman's, or should I just get some minnows?

Thanks again guys,
Piotr

Welcome...
I think the action on Frenchmans Bay has slowed down compared to before... They were pulling out lots of jumbo perch and a few decent pike out of there.
Never hurts to try though.
I would bring minnows.
