I was wondering if anyone knows any rivers or lakes in southern Ontario that have completely thawed the ice out and is ready for regular fishing? I'm just dying to wet my line again like last summer. Also, when does the ice usually completely melt away in southern Ontario for regular fishing to start? Thanks.

Every river I have seen is wide open no ice left, where do you live? Must be the same now every where with these temps.

I drove by Holland River near Bradford very recently. 99% covered in white ice. I live in Toronto.

What rivers are you talking about? I know Humber River is flowing, but I want to fish in a body of water outside the GTA.

Anywhere but North too muddy there. Furthast I can testify to is Cobourg creek. All open fish already moved far up to the closed areas have to wait for the next run.
