hey, i have noticed this trout season has started and i havent seen so many pic's posted so quickly.. it seems there are over 100 pic's now.. mixed into lots of conversations......
it makes it a bit hard to search through all the post to find the pics...

is there a way to have a section called "photo Gallery" or something...? we can post pics only, with a small description... eg.. (pic) Posted by: (user) Brown Trout, nov-17-2011, caught on:(river name, lake) and maybe a few word to tell what was used, or special info....
it would be nice to see pages and pages of just fish pic's.....

now woudn't that be great. I think its fine the way it is, i don't think there is any board out there with a special gallery just for fish lol. Logjam i don't think anyone will tell u where they fish, this comes with trust u have to know the person and fish with them quite often. This is open forums u are not just sharing info with members on this board u are sharing with millions other who browse just looking for information. Before u say ohh u want it all for your self well i have fished with a few members on this board and they know that i'm not that person. The othey day i fished and was hookin into quite a few fish i saw a gentleman struggling and he came over to ask me my set up. I had no problems helping him looked like he was knew into the sport as well. i showed him a few things even told him to come fish beside me and what do u know man hooks into hes first steelhead ever, i coud tel he was very happy. I think this site like many other sites shoud be about sharing tactics, bait, but leave the names and locations for your self to find out. my 2 cents many wont like it let em rip.

"Teach a Man/Woman/Child to fish, dont do the Fishing for them"!

Helping others learn techniques is a great joy & pleasure. I find it even more rewarding than catching a fish myself.
I agree with Float, that putting in the ground work /practice is then up to the individual.

Location ... actually means "Nothing" if one does not have the skill set worked out anyway.
Sure it helps ... but anyone on the learning curve (All of Us) needs the practical applications and "Learns More" by discoving things themselves.

As for a "PHOTO ALBUM":

I would love to see a section dedicated to different Fish Species Photo's
ie: (Trout, Bass, Pike, Walleye, Carp, Crappie, Muskie, Suckers, Whitefish, etc)

Just a simple "Gallery" that contains the photo's. (let the reports hold the info)

It really comes down to how many of us will actually TAKE the TIME to search and read.

Cant have INSTANT ACCESS to Everything.
What fun would that be?

i know they "wont" tell people where they fish! but when i say i cought a fish on the grand.. it wont tell you where i was standing the moment i hooked the fish, or where i parked my car and walked down.. the name of a river doesnt tell a person much about where to fish... eg credit river... starts way up north past orangeville and end in lake O.. grand river same thing...
i like to see fish from other areas, there big difference from lake O fish then tho's from G bay.
even if no river name is given, people can say Northern Ontario. or east...ect..

but no location names or anything will also work.. i just like to see the other types of fish people get....

Just a heads up if people are uploading photos from their cellphones that have geotagging enabled, anyone can find out that exact spot in less than 5 minutes.

Just turn off the geotagging feature on your phone if you plan to upload any pics from your cell.

why asking for permission? just create the topic and see how it works. I am sure many would post their pictures there. other boards have done this as well
