What kind of float reel is that?

I'm saving up for a Okuma Sheffield, I eventually want to actually float fish with a real reel lol

Its a Sheffield, great startup and spins forever. I cant see the need for a float reel to do anything more than the Sheffield does. Im sure ill want something even shinier in a few years knowing my impulsive nature.

Save yur money an go with the step higher. I have the same reel an I think it is to light an have to hit hard to retrieve from fast current. But that's my opinion. I love the reel but I love to fish in fast an big waters with heavy flow. Wow sounds like my women. Lol anyways if you like small creeks with little current. It's great I'm sure you will have many more opinions to help yur decision But it's my MY ONLY PEVE WITH IT.

Thats alot of tackle porn GBW!

Lots of the things you have I have too.

Are those Kalins grubs the bluegill color. I`ve been doing really well on those grubs the past week

Thanks and yes it all works well.
The Kalins are in "cotton candy" and have yet to use them as I just got them as BPS a few weekends ago. My best bait and I mean BEST is a 5" pheonix (sp?) grub on a darter jig. from walleye, bass, perch and musky they all hit it.

As of right now I'm only a small creek/river man (Bronte, Big Creek and the Grand), so I'd like to try and find something I can master there first and then head out to the Notta or something to test my "skills"..

I didnt know you had a Sheffield. What do you mean by the lightness makes it difficult to retrieve in fast current? Heavier reels are easier to retreive??

Just timed my Sheffield, 3 minutes 9 seconds!!

And when it stopped spinning it spun back in the other direction on its own for 2 or 3 revolutions which goes to show how good the startup is.
