So me and my wife and one of my friends, just wanted to get out on Sunday. No plan on fishing, but me being the fishaholic I grabbed my tackle box n rods and tossed em in the back ( good move )

We ended up driving by the spot so we thought we would try... Fee other people were catching some decent ones, we were chuckin daredevils from shore, and about 20 min...bang!! ..actually I thought I snagged..the wind and current helped bring it right to shore..no fight at all..fought more when it was out the water lol.
But awsum day..been waiting and researching

Whereabouts? (not asking for the exact spot, just general... like on Lake O, a river, etc.).

dude the fish was huge...just yesterday i was out again..and me and this older guy kinda started talking and fishing together...he landed a nice 12lber. Pike are there..only going to get better.

oh yeah it was lake ontario..off shore..very nice spot...i can pm you the place or ne one else..who is willing to meet up and fish together..would be nice..fishing alone is fun..but more fun with others who enjoy it as well.

I am going out today again..i have a few days off..so if anyone wants to meet up there..if your in markham or scarborough..i can pick u up if need be. will be fishing from around..1 pm..to sunset...

Going to post up pics soon.

great looking pike there

If you are looking for a fishing buddy downtown let me know! I only move to Canada a little over a year ago from Scotland, so i dont really have anyone to go fishing with.

I am based at Queen and Broadview, so anywhere that the TTC goes I can meet you at :)

Well buddy just let me know. I am by no means an expert, mostly I fished with a mate of mine over the last 2 or 3 years, but we didnt get out that much....or catch that much!
I am looking to learn alot and get out to catch ANY fish...but pike is what we fished for back home, so thats why I kinda like to catch em.

I am pretty sure I can get out to Scarborough.....I think the TTC will get me close to there.

This weekend I was hoping to head over to the island, but i am on call so might have to bin that till next week....rubbish! So the alternative is to go the harbour front on Sunday. That will be my plan.

Great fish!! I live in Ajax area and would love to catch a fish like that near me. We usually get pike in the Thousand Islands area but it's a long drive. I would like to send you a PM to find out where you were but since I am new to this forum, I haven't figured out how.

Just wanted to say thanks to prime89 for introducing me to some great fishing near home. Have been here for 15 years and never really knew this fishing existed. It was nice to put a face to the name since we bumped into each other tonight at the spot. I caught a 5 lb pike across the way but that was it for the afternoon. No camera ready and it was released so no pic but was nice to catch the first soft water fish of the year. Will definitely be back again, maybe the rest of next week if the temps are up. At least it is lighter later and get some fishing in after work.
