Hi all I have been fishing my whole life and never have I been to a lake as frustrating at scugog, I usually can put myself on top of fish and more often than not have good days. I have read anything I can find on the lake, bought fishing maps but I have still yet to crack the code. I have fished there twice this year and had zero luck at all, so can anyone tell me the secret to this lake? Anyone want to go out with me and show me some spots and tricks?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Skunked at Scugog is the title of my upcoming novel, followed by Rooked at Rice, Bummed at Buckhorn and Pigeon-holed at Pigeon...

while Scugog is a "fish factory" of sorts the "weeds" can be heaven or they can be hell

Scugog is a great fishery...Again depends on what you fish for. But I've caught bass in 6inches of water.

Topwater is key and a lot of guys throw pink flukes...lol makes me laugh but it works for them.

I usually start out Goreski's and head left out of their Marina. I am 99% of the time bass fishing either large or small mouth, I would love to find a honey hole that is reliable in catching some decent fish!

Try fishing the north tip of the 'island' if it is bucketmouth you seek. You will need some means of floating over to them. You won't believe what they can hide in at Scugog. Park your craft on the 'grass' and flip for them.
