Hey all!

I will be visiting the Kingston area this weekend, and will be doing some fishing on Saturday morning. Was thinking of giving Millhaven Creek a try, and was just curious if anyone knows the best place to access the creek from shore (won't have a boat). Was also considering the Cataraqui Creek... If anyone has any tips or suggestions, it would be much appreciated :)

Cheers,

Cody

Let me just reiterate that I am by no means whatsoever asking for specific fishing locations - just curious about a place to park before hiking up the river/creek itself :)

I did some serious bush whacking up there some time ago while living in the Ottawa area...I was likely there the wrong time, so I don't have a report for you...frustrating myself with finding productive water there I said, "F-it, I'm off to Pulaski..."

Good luck, hope someone comes through with some info brother...

Wanted to try the mouth, but it seemed to be a lot of private property - I followed the creek a bit, caught a few small small-mouth but that was it. Ended up tossing a fly in some of the flats on the shores of Lake Ontario - caught a few perch and a few more bass. Also took a look at the Napanee river and Salmon river on the way home - nothing worth writing home about. Any ideas if the Salmon still run up the Napanee? I've heard to expect them around mid-Oct...

Both of those two rivers are gorgeous - any river is, reallly :P Seeing as they are both within an hour and a half from home, I may take some time in becoming somewhat familiar with the two of them. Many different sections of the Moira are also very close, so I may explore them some more too - saw some monster carp in there earlier this summer.

Unfortunately you were a month and a bit too early. The salmon just started runnin last week and came in heavy yesterday. I have caught a few over 30 lbs there this last weekend. I have also seen a lot, I mean A LOT of snaggers. Really blatantly dooin it too. Big Trebbles and splitshot without a hint of bait.
Spotted a few rinbows amongst the Salmon aswell and ive heard of some massive browns commin out of there.
If you are ever commin back up the K-Town way lemme know. I can suggest a few spots for some good fish.
