Yank the head off, have the bugs get at it in the forest ( or macerate the thing ), a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and you got yourself a sweet mount - got one myself this year from a winter kill - yours is a really nice find!

Very rarely. We can shoot the yotes up here! Plus its way easier for them to nab livestock than deer. City deer are dumb!

Wouldn't it be against MNR regs to take the antlers in that situation?

why would it be? not like you're harvesting the meat, or even killed the animal, you found it.  also, its legal to harvest roadkill deer without a license. the antlers are going to fall off in another 2 months

I was thinking that because the universe is situated atop a giant turtle, that it may be illegal.

Nothing to do with MNR regs.

Just the turtle thing, you know..

Seriously though, thought I read something a while back about that being illegal, but I guess not..

You have to notify the ministry if you are going to take a road kill animal. In some cases they may want the animal.

Barely any snow in south central Alaska and with temps in the upper fortys I fly fished the Kenai river. Buddies of mine iced fished for lake trout and I went after open water rainbows.

Slow and rainy day but I did manage a rare Kenai unicorn.......Kenai steelhead. The Kenai hosts a very small run of steelhead and I somehow managed one. I may never catch one again so a special catch it is.
