Sweet buddy. I'm looking forward to trying ice fishin this year

The 2012 Fishing Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary has lots of Stocked Lakes listed in it...The co ordinates are given under the heading additional fishing opportunities....
This MNR web site can help too for online users! http://www.web2.mnr....xplorer_en.html
Matson lake in Thunder Bay District the lake I was fishing had some 2,500 yearling Brook Trout stocked in it in 2011 according to the stocking list of Nipigon District Caro Lake had some 11,200 yearling stocked in 2012 & Firehill Lake had some 14,000 yearling stocked in 2012 & 900 Adults.
If you are looking @ taking the kid out this winter & catching a 5lb or better Brook Trout I'd check with the Nipigon District MNR & follow the hatchery truck just this one time especially if it is fully loaded with 5lb specks (Adults)....lol ;-)

I would look at sheer numbers and pressure to figure out where I'd have my best bet @ catching a 5-10lb Brook Trout would be my advise would be Nipigon District.
It may seem unsportsman like but following a hatchery truck full of 5-10lb brood stock about to be put into a stocked lake seems pretty fool proof! lol ;)
