great looking stuff, if i wasn't moving in a month i'd go buy a kit and try my hand at tying.

also, maybe pin this thread so it doesn't get buried come march and april

Henrys Fork Stones:

 

HOOK :  3x to 4x  long ,Size 4-6

TREAD : Fluorescent orange 3/0 or 6/0

TAIL :   Black moose body hair

BODY: Brownish orange antron yarn or dubbing

WING : Natural dark elk hair

HEAD: Black dyed elk hair ,tied bullet-head style

GOLDEN DEMON:

HOOK:   Wet fly or Streamer ,sproat bend, 2x or 3x long ,sizes 8-14

TREAD : Black 6/0

TAIL : Golden pheasant crest feathers ( but i used yellow fish scale) from  H20

THROAT : Soft orange saddle or schappen fibres (I used schappen )

WING : Red fox squirrel tail

TAIL: Natural elk hair

RIB: Brown hackle, undersize

BODY:Orange wool yarn

WING: Natural elk hair

HACKLE: Two brown saddle hackles

DIVING CADDIS (Gary LaFontaine)

 

Hook: wet fly ,down eye ,1x long ,sizes 4 -24

Tread: To match body color

Body: Blended antron dubbing ( i used antron  and  caddis green ice dub)

Rib : Tag end of tying thread

Wing : Soft  hen or grouse or partrige fibers ( i used partrige)

Overwing : Clear antron

Hackle : rooster hackle to match leg color

LEAD-EYED WOOLLY BUGGERS

 

HOOK : Standard steamer, 3x long, size4-12

Weight : Lead eyes appropriate to hook size

Thead : olive 6/0  or 8/0 nylon

Tail : olive marabou

Flash :6 to 8 stands of olive Krystal Flash

Hackle :Brown or furnace ,palmerd over body
Body : olive chenille
