hit the ice today and got into another nice mixed bag this time a fourth species decided to join the party! Mr catfish! haha all fish were released except the ones on the stove lol no more eating pike for me i had to give it a shot a few times but its not worth picking threw all the bones! ended up going 4-6 on the pike today but the panfish bite was slower than normal.

Nice hammer handles, may I suggest the 5 fillet method for pike, cutting around the bones. Very easy and quick. Youtube it if you haven't seen the video before.

My yesterdays outting.

Pike gave up quiet the fight, and went back to fight an other day.
Should have put something beside the perch and bluegills to compare too, the gills were slabs!

Thanks man a good day out forsure, really had to work em tho, basically sight fished them(watched them take the bait)..even the pike was a little slow..until it turned and smashed and went for a crazy run to the side, and on light gear too.

No Redneck shots today lol was by myself no one on the lake! Cant complain tho..

Thank you! The bluegills sure do put up a good little fight on light gear! I tossed back a few more all around the same size..

Good luck on trying for the brookies and your outting! Hoping to see some pics.
