Hi to all,

I have followed this site now and again and decided to join with hopes of learning more about fishing spots and regulations to fish habits in these areas.

I grew up in and around Paris Ontario and just moved back. I just love the Nith river fishing these past few years and the beautifull scenery that accompanies it.

I also Like to fish the north when I can in and above the Kawartha regions.

FISH ON,

Zach.

Welcome. I see the Nith often in my travels and have always wondered? We ran into it near Wellesley. Never fished but always wondered.

Thanks for the welcome Alfie. Yes the nith is one of those rivers that makes u wonder with its brown water and farmland all around it. The river has an abundance

of smallmouth from Ayr to Paris and im sure all the way up. I have caught, Rainbow, Carp, Pike, Smallmouth and various panfish in my area of Paris. Id love a walley out of there but its rare. If you go down to the Nith on a good day when the water levels are normal and walk a stretch you my have some luck if not a nice outting.

the thames reservoir near woodstock is a good place to go if you have a canoe. i went icefishing for pike this year at the quarry in innerkip.  it's quite deep and i vowed to head back once the warmer weather set in...

Hi All,

My son and I want to fish rainbows in the St. Mary's River, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. We want to buy a fly fishing rod and reel combo. What are people's suggestions?

You probably should start a new post in the "fishing gear and talk" section. I don't think many people, outside of those who fish the ninth river, will see it in this thread.
