... I have a few drop-offs on the Lake Erie shoreline around Port Colborne/Wainfleet I shall visit (avoiding the sancturaries) and some stretches of the Welland Canal I shall toss a crankbait.

As long as the rain doesn't start in the early AM, or if it does and isn't a downpour... I am heading out from Mississauga at about 4am Saturday. Anyone wants to come along feel free to PM me. I got plenty of bass spots but always open to hear another good one... especially a bass spot that also has pike, my favorite.

I think a buddy and I are heading to the Thamesford area - I prefer catching Pike, but I enjoy bass too :) so its a nice area for a mix of the two.

I'm gonna keep hitting the zone 18 action. Opener here last week and it's been great fun. Hope everyone enjoys themselves!

I went to a pond in Brampton this morning and after fishing a while I didn't really get anything on my YUM Dinger while my dad caught some pumpkinseed on live worms, then I switched up to live worms and got some bites. Later a man came by and started fishing and on just his second cast he landed a largemouth bass, I asked him what he was using and it was just a black metallic grub on a jighead, he then let me have some grubs and after fishing the grub on a 1/4 oz. jighead I landed my first largemouth bass of 2013 which measured between 13-14 inches. It was raining pretty heavily at some points this morning but this shows that fish still do bite in conditions such as these. I learnt a good tip from this gentleman also, early on in the season fish with smaller lures/baits and later on in the season, start using larger lures.
