Hey guys this was my biggest catch today out of the Grand River. We also caught three other smaller ones.

Keep in mind this fish was weighed in a harnes and released with care.

17.5 lbs common carp,

Yes it was a great fight FishingNoob, this carp took an estimated 4 mins to retrieve.

And yea Chris it was a beautiful speciman, the fish behaved very nicely as do most carp if you treat them right.

That is another beautiful carp! I wish I could do more carp fishing but for some reason I always end up catching them on tubes fishing Rice Lake. I guess so many people throw away their plastics after they are torn up and the carp seem to find them and like them! I remember catching 4 carp fishing for small mouth bass. All of them caught within a 30 minute span using a coffee tube!

Hey alwayscatching, it was a nice carp. Ive heard good things about rice lake and walleye but never carp that pretty neat. Must have been odd catching carp lol on a tube.

Nice fish!!!

I remember one year at the fish barrier in cootes paradise MNR just threw the carp on the bank and let them die there. I had no problem with it, but some people did and it really smelled as i recall. Kinda a ahame that those beasts are nasty to the rivers and lakes, but are so much fun to catch.
