Hello all!

I'm new to this forum.  My husband and I have been fishing off and on for about 8 years.  Our (mini) honeymoon a couple weeks ago was at a cottage on rice lake.  It was fabulous.  Our dog loves going in the boat to go fishing (we rent boats when we go up there).  We finally have found a resort that will be a regular place for us, and we are planning a vacay next year with my parents up there.

We are wanting to get more into fishing around where we are (Burlington), and are looking for tips and tricks, and areas around here to fish (mainly catch and release).

I look forward to browsing through this forum!

Shannon

Thanks, Dane

Welcome to OFF. Love seeing couples enjoy fishing together. I try to get my wife to go fishing (I mean actually fish not just sit there and tan and listen to music). I've given up, now I just take my quiet faithful dog!

Cheers

Welcome to the forum, I'm in the Hammer.

There is a "western trib" not far from you that will soon have lots of Salmon in it and the Chrome and Browns will attend that event too.

Another great place to fish not far from Burlington (about 30 or 45 mins) is the Grand. It has just about every species of fresh water fish available in this part of the country but mainly Bass and Channel Cats, some Pike and Walleye also hang out there.

Feel free to drop me a PM and I can give you and the hubby a few more tips on local fishing.

Alfie.
