I usually catch these:
Today I caught this:
That thing was FAT.
Cant say how much it weighted, but felt pretty darn heavy. Felt like it was at least 5lb.
This thing gave a pretty good pull on my handline reel, and it felt really soild. Was a good fight.

Umm..........sorta?
I mean, it is white/red fish in dark green water so........unless its deep down, you can see a faint red/white in the water.

How to you fish for them, I have a goldfish pond near my place but I don't know how to effectively target them.

Amazing. I used to go for gold fish when I was a child. Unfortunately I don't have a gold fish pond around my area anymore. I would love to try it again.

How to you fish for them, I have a goldfish pond near my place but I don't know how to effectively target them.
Bread molded around a circle hook. You have to mold it so that only 4-5mm on the hook tip is exposed, and the rest of the hook is completely covered. I fish mine either on a float(2-3 foot from the surface) or a slip sinker(bottom rig). I put a fairly big piece onto the hook so sunfish is unlikely to get it.
Do they fight well?
If you are using a 6lb line, ya. They are like carp, except smaller.

There's a pond by Vaughan that's full of them and some Kois too. I used to catch them on carp rig. Mill Pond I think was the name by Bathurst close to Major Mckenzie.

I used to fish Mill Pond as well. I've read somewhere on this forum that Mill Pond in Richmond Hill is closed to fishing at least by the city
Whereabouts you catching these in the GTA?
